Accessibility Statement for Yarm Accommodation

Introduction Our luxury apartments are located in a modern newly built two storey development about 200 metres from Yarm High Street in the Durham Tees Valley conurbation. In order to cater for all clients, we have apartments situated on both the ground and first floor of the development. Pre-Arrival

  • We have an extensive website which includes a description and external/internal images of the apartments.
  • Bookings and enquiries can be made by e-mail, telephone and letter, or online through our website.
  • Directions to the apartments can be provided in written (dyslexia friendly font, visually impaired font), or audible format.
  • The nearest bus stop is approximately two minutes walking distance opposite the Town Hall.
  • Yarm train station is one mile away.
  • The historic market town with period features, designer shops and la’carte restaurants is situated 200 metres away.
  • Executive transport, Dry Cleaning and a number of other additional services are available upon request (additional charge).

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

  • Free visitor car parking is immediately adjacent to the development.
  • We operate a meet and greet service when keys will be issued (at a time to be specified by the client).
  • Car parking is available on site.
  • The car park surface is block paved leading onto a stone pavement.
  • A pedestrian walkway leads from the visitor car parking area to the main entrance door.
  • External lighting is by way of illuminated pedestrian bollards and main entrance lights.

Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

  • In addition to our meet and greet service we operate a familiarisation policy.
  • The development can only be entered via the main entrance door.
  • The main entrance door is 81cm wide and hinged on the left with the key hole being 108cm high.
  • The entrance hall and stairways are lit by timed push buttons.
  • Main entrance door access can be obtained via internal video link intercom system.

Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc

  • The apartments are located on the ground and first floor with stairway access only.
  • Stairways are guarded by a black metal hand rail with metal spindles, being 100cm high.
  • Stairways and corridors are short pile carpeted.
  • On each floor internal fire doors lead onto the apartment entrances.

  • Floor covering for the hallway, lounge/diner and kitchen is oak wood affect.
  • The lounge entrance door is 84cm wide and hinged on the left.
  • The lounge/dining area is 4.4m by 3.0m and the kitchen area is 3.6 x 2.0m.
  • One apartment has a lounge leading out onto a balcony with seated area and table.
  • The lounge furniture comprises of 2x two seated settees, coffee table and dining table with four matching dining chairs.

  • The fitted kitchen has a uniform working surface 93cm high.
  • There is an electric fan assisted oven and hob with extractor, 50/50 fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave oven, kettle and toaster.
  • Lighting in the lounge/dining and kitchen areas consists of eight spot chrome ceiling lights and two wall lamps, six spot ceiling track lights and five spot under cabinet down lights.

    • The apartments have two double bedrooms, one double or one double and one single, with an en-suite to the master bedroom.
    • The bedroom doors are hinged to the left and 84cm wide.
    • The flooring in both bedrooms is beige short pile carpet.
    • The master bedroom is 4.8m by 2.65m with the second bedroom being 3.5m by 2.67m.
    • The furnishings in each bedroom consist of: double bed master (40cm high) two bedside cabinets (30cm high) two bedside lamps and a chest of draws (120cm high).The wardrobe consists of: clothes rail (130cm high and 95cm wide). The chest of drawers consists of six drawers (120cm high).
